It looks like Thursday nights are going to be my best chance to play. I will try to log on as close to 7:00 local as possible. I will be on server2, contact me if you don't have my characters name or if you need instructions on how to "yell" for me in the game (called 'sending a tell').
If you have not created a character, jump in at what stage is appropriate:
1 - Go to FunCom.com and create a free account
This is just your log in account. The user name here has nothing to do
with anything in the game. There are some upgrade packs that can be
purchased, but we are not using those. Don't pay, don't get your credit
card out.
2 - Download the
software
Get the Full client (1.7 Gigs) or the small client (about 850 Megs).
First you will download a little stub file which is the actual
"downloader" for the game software. The Full Client includes all the
expansion pack software, so that if you upgrade, you don't have to
download any other software. We will not be upgrading for a while,
probably never.
3 - When you lauch the game software, after aggreeing to the license, the next thing to come up is the log in page. Above Username is Dimension, that is what they call their servers. You can have several characters on each server, but characters from one server cannot be run on the other server. Make sure at this point your dimension is set to "Rimor (Rubi-Ka 2)"
4 - log in and send me a tell. Also, get the character names of some of the other people we've talked with about this. Send them a tell. Once you have conversed privately, that person goes in your friends list so you can see if they are online or not.
PS - sorry I still haven't had time to make these pages'prettier'.
If you have created a character, let me know the character name (the correct spelling is important) and I'll watch for you when I'm in the game. If you don't know who I am or how to let me know your character's name, then you probably are not supposed to be reading this. Eventually I hope to set up a log in system for much of this site.
